| Reiki
is like the Biblical laying on hands
... because hands are typically placed on or above the body,
except it does not require great faith. Most new practitioners
dont really believe it will work. Reiki often deepens whatever
faith a practitioner belongs too, because after experiencing
Reiki, it is easier to believe there is more to the world
than meets the eye, because the practitioner can actually
feel it.
Reiki
is like other forms of Energy healing
... because it enhances the natural health and "Ki"
of the body. Reiki is different because at its heart it is
not a different technique, but a different way of being connected
to divine source. Reiki is not taught but transferred. While
some basic techniques are taught in most Reiki classes, the
reality is that Reiki energy will empower any way of working
the user is comfortable with.
Reiki
is like magic
... in that it enables great healing to occur. Reiki always
works with divine order not with the practitioners intention.
Even if the practitioner is angry or distracted, the energy
does the healing for a positive result. Reiki is not about
forcing the practitioners will upon the universe, but inviting
the highest good to happen
Reiki
is like meditation
... in that it often allows the practitioner and client to
fall into a restful meditative state, but if the practitioner
or client need to concentrate on vital signs, conversation
or other distractions, the Reiki healing energy flows on,
unimpeded.
Reiki
is like ChiKung/Kiko
... in that it uses 'ki' or 'chi' to revitalize the body.
Reiki is different because while the practitioner gains confidence
with practice, the basic ability is immediately and powerfully
there. The practitioner does not need years of experience
to be effective. |
