The next Reiki 1&2 in Northern California will be in South San Francisco CA Jan 31-Feb1

PASADENA (Sierra Madre)

There is a Reiki 1&2 class Jan 10-11 in Sierra Madre, CA, and another Feb 7-8

There is a Reiki Master class Feb 14-16. This is a 3 day holiday weekend, class is offered Sat/Sun/Mon, and is ideal for those who have trouble getting time off.

The next Japanese Reiki Techniques and Karuna classes will be mid 2009.

Healing Ghosts & Spirits

For Halloween, I am doing an online class for healing Ghosts and Spirits.The cost is $99, it will be 5-6 weeks. I have been doing healing work on ghosts and spirits for over 10 years, and have developed a technique that is both very positive and very effective. All souls have the right to enlightenment. We treat the ghost or spirit as worthy of healing. Then we use the Reiki to call in beings that can help it move on to its next level. Class includes a number of techniques to strenghten and protect your energy field which is not only important for this work, but will also strengthen you and bring understanding in other areas of Reiki and the rest of your life. Class will include 'live' examples so you can see experience what ghost energies are like and how to heal them. Tuition is $99

It is recommended that you have taken (or at least started) the Extraordinary Healing Class, and or had 2 years experiences sending distance Reiki before taking this class.

Jess & Jeff's Tax Default Property Adventure

Many of us are tired of struggling in Southern California, dreaming of owning property, (or more property) but not having a way of getting there. So Jeff and I have decided to go to the Los Angeles County Tax Defaulted Property Auction in February.

And so now I want to give you a chance to share the adventure with me. I have created a 'class' at my online ReikiMastery University that will tell you all about my adventure trying to buy tax defaulted property in Los Angeles.

I will explain the process as I go through it, put up data on actual houses that look promising, and put up a class forum where any of you who wish can post your knowledge and experience.

If my research goes well, perhaps we can put together an 'investment group", buy something, fix it up, and sell it in a few years time.

I decided to share my experience with you, cause the only info I can find is glowing "buy my $1000 course" marketing spiel, a bit of 'make sure you do your homework' drivel.

As I start this class. I DON"T KNOW what will happen. Will I be able to get the house I am interested in for back taxes of 10,000? or are there lots of other investors out there waiting to scoop it up? Part of the beauty of this is that it if we I/we don't buy a house, we get our money back. Sort of like entering a lottery, and getting your dollar back if you dont win.

Most of the properties are junk, tiny bits of land with no street access that are too small to build on. But some are buildable vacant lots, some are houses, a few are commercial.

I just know that on Feb 9-10, 2009 they auction off up to 3000 pieces of property at the Pomona Fairplex. I have a property book listing the properties, I will get a bidder card in January, and in February I will go.

More Than One-Third of U.S. Adults Use Complementary and Alternative Medicine, According to New Government Survey

According to a nationwide government survey released in December 2008, approximately 38 percent of U.S. adults aged 18 years and over and approximately 12 percent of children use some form of CAM.
CAM is a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine. Complementary medicine is used together with conventional medicine, and alternative medicine is used in place of conventional medicine. Integrative medicine combines conventional and CAM treatments for which there is evidence of safety and effectiveness.

Russia licenses faith healers

MOSCOW (AP) - Mikhail Fadkin claims he can cure a long list of disorders - pancreatitis, bronchitis, digestive problems, even infertility - by using his hands to manipulate what he describes as a person's "bio-energy field."
Many laugh at such ideas and might call him a quack. But the 63-year-old healer, who practices out of an office in a Moscow suburb, holds a license from the Russian government.
For the past two years, the Federal Health Service has been issuing licenses to practitioners of what it calls "traditional medicine," meaning anything from the use of herbal treatments to the manipulation of "auras." His claims buttressed by officialdom, Fadkin charges patients 3,500 rubles ($150) per session.
And he says business is very good.

Healers union protects patients, practitioners

Traditional healing practices have been part of the Indonesian medical landscape for more than a millennium, with herbal, spiritual and massage treatments often the preferred medical options in many villages.
In recognition of the vital role this so-called ""alternative healing"" plays in traditional societies, Balinese medical doctors and alternative health practitioners have established a union. The Union of Alternative Traditional Healers was ratified as an organization on Jan. 5 in Bali, and falls under the patronage of the Bali governor's wife, I Gusti Agung Masberatha.
According to union chair Dr. Nyoman Adiputra, a physiology professor at the medical school of Denpasar's Udayana University, the union will ensure the quality of available alternative medical care. At the same time, it will also provide practitioners with the status their studies and skills in alternative medical practices deserve.
The union has the support of many prominent doctors and scientists, and three scientists sit on its advisory panel.
