Healing Night & Class Schedule

I added a Reiki 1&2 class for SEPTEMBER in Dublin/Pleasanton (greater SF area, BART Accessible)

I have also added some occasional Santa Monica Healing Nights at the Santa Monica College Bundy campus.

Additionally i do have Reiki 1&2 classes and a Reiki Master class scheduled for August. and my full class schedule appears at left.

	Summer Reiki News 2007 There was a cover story article on the book in the Summer Reiki News Magazine. Reiki’s Birthplace – A Book Review by Marianne Streich Reiki was first discovered by Usui sensei on Mt. Kurama, a holy mountain north of Kyoto, Japan. This new book, a first of its kind, is a travel guide for those planning to make a pilgrimage to Mt. This Years Upcoming Japan Trip

This years Japan trip hit a road bump but it now back on track, focusing on the Kyoto/Kurama Japan piece. The travel agency was not able to get rooms or handle flight arrangements so I reduced cost of class by doing this independently. Depending on interst, we will be able to send some people to the Tokyo to see the memorial.

Jess & Jeff's Wedding Wedding

I got married!.. The July 4th wedding up in Morro Bay was amazing!. The day before was a play day where we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast looking out on the water, a boat tour of the bay, and a delicious pre-wedding dinner at the fantastical Madonna Inn. We had the wedding at a garden chapel connected to this great bookstore, and walked to Dorn's which has Jeff's favorite clam chowder on the west coast. The fog rolled in, so we sat and watched the fireworks mood light the sky from the hotel balcony. and reflect in the water of the bay.

Reiki Story

Dear Jessica, Thanks so much for this newsletter.
And I hope to see you before at Healing Nights.
Something very unexpected happened... I was closing
out some marketing at Target when the cashier who
was helping me began to cry in pain because her hand
suddenly locked up. I asked if she would like a healing
treatment right then and there, so I charged up with
choku rei on both palms and began Reiki. The change in
her was instant. It was as if I had pulled a daggar out of
her heart and had even altered the time from its puncture.
She noticed the relief and asked if I would do her other hand.
I did, and, I felt like Robin Hood meets Florence Nightingale.
It was fun, and my son watched and immitated me.
I'm also doing tons better and have begun yoga at the gym.
Thanks for your distant healing. I'll be sending same to

Reiki and Aging

I was recently asked about Reiki and aging.. Is it ethical to send Reiki to prolong someone's life, especailly if that person is older?

Recently someone we know had a small stroke, and we wanted to send him some energy.

I checked in energetically and asked some questions. The answers feel true, but this is a deeply personal question so talk to your own higher self about it.

I felt that each person has a time to die, but it is fluid, more like the beginning of a window of time. The window is typically 2-5 years long.

Jizo Peace Center

Ruth is one of the people who has journeyed with me to Kurama. She has been inspired to create a Jizo Peace Center. I asked her for a writeup (below) so I could share her dream with you.

The Jizo Peace Center, a 501(c)(3) foundation is now permanently established at 2012 Pioneer Way, P.O. Box 5329, Pine Mountain, CA at 5,000 feet elevation. The Center, founded by Ruth Ratna Handy, is attached to a beautiful new mountain home and consists of a 500 square foot meditation and seminar room. The space is dedicated to Jizo and Incarnations of the Divine including Buddha, Sri Ramakrishna, and Quan Yin. For more information see www.jizopeacecenter.org or www.myspacecom/jizoessence .
