My book, Reiki's Birthplace: A guide to Kurama Mountain has been birthed into the world. It is now available on Amazon.com, as well as through me (signed copies) and through the publisher (especially if you want 5 or more to resell.)

This Years Japan Trip

This years Japan Trip has been expanded to includine seeing both Mt Kurama in Kyoto and visiting the Usui Memorial in Tokyo. See Mt Fuji, take a boat ride. Tour the capitals of Kyoto and Tokyo.Meet Reiki people. We are working with a travel company, Sita Tours, that is making all the arrangements.

Jess & Jeff's Wedding Parties

We are getting married on July 4th in Morro Bay, touring around for a week or so, then coming home for a weekend to share with you on July 13th.

July 13th is a "Wedding Party", which will be a dinner at the Bahooka in Rosemead. This is for family and freinds (many of whom get this newsletter). Space is limiited, so PLEASE RSVP if interested, and please understand if we run out of room. This is chance to celebrate. You don't need to bring us a present, but please chip in for your own dinner.

July 14th is a "Come and Visit" Day, tenatively scheduled to be held at Inner Harmony, in Sierra Madre. Sort of a day long chance to show up and say hello to Jeff and I and wish us well. This will be potluck.. All are welcome. 2pm on.... Please check our answering machine or a message a few days before confirming the location.

July 15th is a Reiki Brainstrorming Event, tentatively scheduled for 3pm at Inner Harmony in Sierra Madre.. Details below.

We are not really looking for lots of Wedding gifts. If you would like to do something we are trying to purchase a cabin in Big Bear from a friend of Jeff's Dad, (but still live in Sierra Madre) and fix it up.

Reiki Brainstorming DAY- July 15th

This summer is the time. This summer I would like to do a series of brainstorming meetings for both people who believe in my work and are willing to help promote and package what I do, and starting Reiki Outreach, an organization dedicated to Reiki Education,Research and Community outreach.

The First meeting will be Sunday July 15th at 3pm at Inner Harmony

I am looking for people with great ideas, and people with some spare time to help make them happen.

I have created an initial document here, if you have other ideas to add.. or you would like to add your name to the list of helpers (i will not post full names on this page), please email me. I will integrate as much as i can into the document, (Be patient if takes me some time to update this). And then we can use it as an agenda to brainstorm further.

For everyone else who reads this newsletter, now and in future.. i hope it gives you some great ideas too. though i am not sure if i will put the completed document here or keep it private.

Reiki and the Virtual World

I have a terrible habit of turning hobbies into careers. I get started with things, and just want to goof off and relax, and i get caught up in it, and sooner or late it starts having that career feel to it.

I have starting playing in a world called Secondlife. I think Jeff will tell you its a good name, cause it is a tremendous time sink, but it is fun. No I won't tell you my name there, cause this is my play time, though i am considering adding a second persona there with ReikiMastery in my name.

It started out just as roleplaying..

My best friends there are vampires, dragons, demons and angels. But then i started hearing about peoples real lives and frustrations.

Please send Reiki to Frances, who just passed away. I met Frances when she put a curse on me in the game.to make anyone who touched me catch on fire. I got rid of the curse, but somehow ended up becoming friends with Frances. It was not many weeks later we found out she was sick.

Please send Reiki to Kitten who gets bad menstrual cramps, but loves to dance.

I have a patron called Max, who has been kind enough to let me put up a Reiki gazebo on his 'land'. It is wonderful to be believed in.. Please send Reiki to him that all he does continues to succeed and grow. We even have a few ideas for collaborations.

Please send Reiki to "Dark" and ask that she stop being afraid of herself, and learn to relax and enjoy life.

I am also starting to meet the healing community on Secondlife. People are doing distance healing here, whether they are Reiki people or not.

And please send Reiki to Tara, Vyx, Haze, Land, Kaylah, Saros, Ezrin, David, Polly and all the many many others I have met in the virtual worlds.

Planning a Kurama in CyberSpace

I am planning to create a 'visitor center' for Kurama mountain to exist in SecondLife, and perhaps in some other mulitplayer worlds. It would have healing pictures from my book and a healing table the character in the world can lie down on, with distance symbols to send the healing energy from the real mountain to the real person behind the character.

There will even be a mockup of the mountain.. A map that in world will seem like a 5 foot high hiill.. with the buildings of hte mountain modeled on it.
