Mt Kurama has been considered a power spot in Japan for over 1200 years. It was on this is the mountain in the early 1900's that Mikao Usui, meditated for 21 days to and received the Reiki healing energy now practiced by millions worldwide for improving their relaxation, health and vitality. This mountain is most famous in Japan for being the home of the supernatural Tengu warriors that trained the samurai hero Yoshitsune. Emperors meditated here. Famous writers and poets were inspired here.
