Reiki is easy! How is it different from other ‘ki’ healing?

Energy healing through laying on hands, martial arts, etc. is thousands of years old. Reiki is a form of energy healing, but just as cranberries, grapes, and pineapples are all fruit, requiring very different growing conditions and make different recipes, different kinds of energy healing also have different characteristics.
Reiki is a metaphysical software download which can be learned in a weekend. If you want a word processor, you study to become a computer programmer in about three years, and spend another three years developing the program yourself, or you can simply install software and spend a weekend learning to use it.
Ease of Doing
Medical Chi Kung and other Asian ki systems require months and years of practice to be effective.
Reiki, however, can be learned and practiced effectively in a single weekend.
Does Not Require Detailed Knowledge
Acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage require years of school and practice before the practitioner is competent since techniques must be done precisely to have effect.
Reiki can be done effectively regardless of knowledge level of practitioner
Does Not Require Great Natural Healing Ability
Some people are born with the ability to heal with little or no training and cannot pass their ability on to others who lack this natural ability.
Reiki can be learned by everyone. It magnifies everyone’s ability to the point where it is useful. Healers become stronger once they understand what they are doing/not doing.
No Need to Meditate
Some systems require an altered state to do healing, meditation being the key element.
Reiki requires no concentration or meditation, but often creates a meditative state
No Need for Great Psychic Ability
Barbara Brennan and many other auric systems require psychic ability to see and manipulate their aura to work with the clients and heal.
While such ability is useful, practitioners can do Reiki effectively without it. In fact, those who use Reiki typically gain psychic perception ability with practice.
Does Not Require Faith
“Laying on hands” is a traditional form of healing that requires great faith by the practitioner, client, or both.
To do or receive Reiki, neither belief in god nor Reiki affects the result.
Requires Compassion, not Wisdom nor Knowledge
Many magical or will-based systems tend to give the practitioner what they ask for, not necessarily what is desired (as how a genie may grant a manipulated wish). Many of these systems incorporate the law of three: that anything (negative or positive) rebounds three times on practitioner.
Reiki works with divine order. For example: If the practitioner is angry, the anger and the person worked on will be healed. If the practitioner is poorly informed, the best outcomes will still occur.
