This is the first of a series of "main stream" articles I am writing on energy healing and Reiki. I'd love your comments on it before I start sending it out to magazines, websites, etc. It is a teaser to get people interested in energy healing, and taking Reiki classes, and assumes no background in energy work. Headaches and Migraines: A One Minute Remedy
Here's a technique that really works on many migraines and stress related headaches, that is no more difficult or odd that your average hiccup remedy. It works quickly, has a 50-60% success rate, requires no equipment, supplies or supplements, and can be used by anyone. Belief is not required, just a willingness to try it. Cultures all over the world have traditions of the healing power of the hands and everyone has some natural healing ability, why not learn to use it?
1. Rub the palms of your hands together 10-20 times with the intention to activate the healing energy of your hands.
2. Spread your fingers, and place your hand palm up on the head of the person with the migraine or headache, over the area where they feel the pain and very slowly lift the hand away from the head, sort of like you are combing it out of the hair. If you are doing this right, you will feel the energy on the front of your hand as you lift away.
3. Repeat over areas that have pain at various places around the head until the headache begins to lessen, typically in about a minute. Some people will not feel your movements at all, some will feel momentarily a little light headed, some will feel like they are in a fish bowl having the water changed.
Many who have had the technique performed not only find their headache is gone but it seems to reduce the frequency of future headaches. It is as if the people who get these kinds of headaches handle stress by hardening the energy around their head so they can just focus on what is in front of them. Any good or bad stress overloads that barrier, and pokes holes in it, making 'spikes' around the head you can feel with your energized hands. Combing out the congealed energy. (some say it feels a bit like gelatin), calms the person down, gives them a sense of 'more room to think in', and gets rid of the pain. Because it works so fast, it is always worth trying. It works less well on allergy and dehydration related headaches
Flick the 'snarls' of energy you have combed out the window or just to one side of the room. They will dissolve in a few minutes. You can even do this technique on yourself.

2nd Harmonic Convergence & thoughts on Car Reiki, our Inner Truth detector & more
Well I sent out an email to everyone on the Harmonic Convergence, the references for which seem to have gotten deleted, so I decided to go ahead and write this up for the newsletter. I sent it out as I was rushed to get on my way out to door for a 6-7 hour car trip between my friend Carl's in Madison and my folks in Muncie Indiana. I spent much of the time in the car sending distance Reiki to all the readers of this newsletter, to the physical planet, and to the future.
Car trips are great for sending distance Reiki. I do this different ways, but yesteday I intended the distance symbol at the top of my steering wheel, and leaving my palms on the wheel used my fingers to send and sense energy. Periodically i would lift one hand to sweep the energy of the world. One of the things about traveling through part of the world which is largely flat is you get a much better sense of the earth as a sphere, and being able to send Reiki to the whole globe at once, and i did feel an exceptional amount of energy yesterday, and his morning.
This morning I woke up with a sensation I have had only a few times before of my palm chakras and the soles of my feet chakras being like balls of clear light about 8 inches across, and gently buzzing.
May 27 & May 28, 2010 is the 2nd Harmonic Convergence.. The Convergence is an astronomical alignment of planets. This is the time to focus on a brighter future. This is the time to plant the seeds for a more enlightened world.
I am including quotes from various websites on the Convergence. The prose is a bit heavy for my taste, and I havent fully decided what I think of the Mayan calendar, but it seems like the time to begin doing some research, and yesterday for the first time for me it felt worthwhile to pay some attention.
We all have an inner 'truth' sense, a feeling when we hear something of whether it is true or not. Normally this sense pretty stable, but every once in a while it is like the focus of it changes, and new ideas suddenly swim into view as having weight or value, or at least as being worth considering. I always try to pay attention to these experiences, and why the truth sense is changing. It may in fact be a key piece of how the world changes. If you can change the energetic water people swim in, if you can change their energetic reality, or 'cosmic influences' to alter their sense of what is true, they will tend to change the world in the direction of that truth. This 'truth sense' may also be part of what is affected in individuals by the alignment of planets, by high energy fields, by the emotional impact of important real world events, like the Gulf oil spill.
Part of the trick to this whole "Changing to a better world" idea, is to not be completly passive about it. Spend some time sending positive energy to the world, to finances, to the gulf of mexico oil spill, to the middle east or wherever your compassion takes you, DON'T just sit in the energy of guilt and despair. And in the small ways you can see in front of you, do what you can in the physical world to make a difference. We are in a partnership with the divine to try to make this world a better place. What humanity is now immediately facing is the beginning of the Sixth Night, November 8, 2009 to November 2, 2010, a time period that, as part of this cosmic plan, may be expected to be very transformative but also very demanding through its effects on the world's economic system. A night implies a "quantum jump" to a lower energy state of the universe and this one seems likely to bring a significant fall of the American dollar and an associated downturn in the economy.

We now have the opportunity with the 2010 Conscious Convergence to pull down the dire predictions of 2012. You'll see all the worst-case scenarios of coming disasters in movies coming from a magnetic shift or a polar flip and all this other stuff. But we have an opportunity now…right now… with a very small group of people, to stop all that from happening. We can pull all the rest of the dire prophecies down by a factor of 100, which is why this Conscious Convergence and this particular date in time and space is so powerful. It really begins the buildup of the Universal activation as we are barreling towards the end of the Galactic week, coming into the Universal week which is a 260 day period, which is the final culmination of 16.4 billion years of human spiritual evolution, according to the Mayan calendar.
