J. L.'s Reiki Experience
Those who subscribe to Jessica's newsletters or who are her students may have seen my signature - J. L., the assistant. Who am I? Where did I come from? What is my connection to Jessica and Reiki? Our adventure began within the realms of the internet, interacting through virtual worlds and text as nothing but fictional characters. Something between us, however, clicked in reality. Within a short matter of time, Jessica and I discovered we could be friends because of the very similar perspectives we had on the world, auras, and psychic energies. Our shared ideals made Jessica's approach about Reiki an easy one. I reacted with open arms to this new concept of energy healing.
At first, I took the concept of Reiki as an interest, another fascinating topic on which to study, research. Jessica, however, encouraged me to one of her online healing nights, and offered requests for all of those viewing at the time. With my own intrigue, I put in a request for healing. All of my life, my father has raised my siblings and myself to be very closed to emotion, and Jessica felt this as an emotional block. I listened to her with an open mind and watched her via webcam. Then I felt something warm, a new, welcoming energy enter me. Without hesitance, without fear, I began to cry. All of the lethargic energy I had lifted off of me, and I felt good to cry for once without needing an excuse. Jessica helped me lift so much off of my shoulders that night, and suggested I continue to follow up on brushing out that negative energy.
Several more weeks passed. Jessica became a close friend, a mentor, and involved herself into my real life. She was concerned about my home life and my work. When she discovered I was struggling to get by, she offered me a job as her part-time assistant to help her with objectives she had no time for, I greatly accepted. Something else began to occur. With each article I proof-read, with each upload, I read more into the world of Reiki. My interest heightened. Furthermore, I showed so much a desire to learn, Jessica offered to teach me as a bonus for being her assistant. I could not refuse the offer, and in June 2011, Jessica and I spent several enriching days of Reiki together in my small hometown of Shinnston, WV. The more I was in her presence, the more I was "unlocked." Now, with Reiki I and II attuements, I am very active with my practice, and feel I can challenge the world. Over time I hope to write in more detail about my experiences with Jessica and Reiki, but for now, consider this an introduction.
With many blessings,
J. L.
